Shallow Breathing Fuels The Mental Health Crisis

People with symptoms of anxiety, panic, burnout, and depression breathe short and shallow. Most are unaware of its toll on mental health.

Here’s the deal:

Being able to slow your breath down on command allows you to feel more in control over stressful situations and get through them with more ease and confidence.

A bar chart comparing breaths per minute for panic (30), anxiety (22), normal breathing (14), and B+B Method (5). The bars decrease in height from left to right.
Average Breath Rate: 14-18 BPM (Breaths Per Minute).
Faster Breathing = Activates the Stress Response
Anxiety = 20+ BPM
Panic = 30 + BPM
BEAT + BREATH™ trains you to breathe 4-10 breaths per minute. (Yes it is possible!)

That’s Why We Created Beat + Breath™

A simple, science-backed method to slow your breath down.

From years of doing this stuff, we know that meditation is good for you. We also know how hard it can be to actually do it. We hold your hand and count you through learning how to breathe deeply, one second at a time.

I hate to say it but the time tested and true secret to having your mind work for you is DAILY PRACTICE. With everything you do in life, repetition is the key to mastery.

BEAT + BREATH ™ makes it easy to show up and breathe every day.

It’s self-care that fits into your life.

You don’t need hours of free time to benefit from BEAT + BREATH™. Just 3 minutes!

Imagine this:

You start your day with three minutes of conscious breathing instead of scrolling, tuning into your body and mind.
You hit play & breathe on your lunch break or during a mid-afternoon slump, giving you energy and focus without coffee.
Wind down at night, focus your mind on breathing into sleep instead of ruminating.

A person with short hair wearing headphones stands outdoors near green plants. The background features an orange graphic with a rounded arch design.

You can practice almost anywhere and anytime:

While making dinner
On the bus
During tough conversation
In the bathroom (we won’t judge)
Between meetings
While parenting through meltdowns, yours or theirs.

Suitable for all ages and abilities

You’ll love BEAT + BREATH™ so much that you will want to share it with your kids, partner, family, parents, coworkers, friends, clients, and even enemies too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BEAT + BREATH ™ suitable for beginners?

YES! BEAT + BREATH ™ was designed for the person that struggles with meditation or wants an easier way to integrate the practice into daily life. The Beat + Breath beginner meditations are only 3 minutes in length making it very easy to do alongside something that you already do, like brushing your teeth, washing the dishes, walking your dog… (you can even practice while scrolling on your phone).

Is BEAT + BREATH ™ suitable for someone who already has an existing breathwork practice?

YES! BEAT + BREATH ™ comes in different levels making it easy for you to adjust the practice to suit your breath rhythm and help you progress. The 5 different types of breath techniques offered means that you have plenty of chances to diversify your practice. The rhythm helps you stay consistent and steady… and not cheat 😉

How often should I practice breathing?

Ideally, once a day. But even a few times a week will help shift your nervous system. During a stressful period we suggest you plug and play, as you shift your habitual nervous system patterns by changing your breath pattern.

How do I know where I should begin?

The introduction meditation of each series will help you determine what the optimal timing is for you. Practice with the timing that is most comfortable for you. There should be no straining, no pushing and no feeling out of breath. Breathing is not a competition. We suggest that you begin slowly and work your way up to breathing longer and deeper by adding one second at a time.

Is there a special way to breathe?

All exercises in BEAT + BREATH ™ are done with abdominal breathing, which means that your belly expands on the inhale and contracts on the exhale. For more of an in-depth understanding of how to breathe please be sure to attend the complimentary BEAT + BREATH ™ webinar, watch the replay, or practice with the abdominal breathing meditation.

Who can practice Beat + Breath?

Anyone. Literally. You can practice BEAT + BREATH ™ with your young kids, your teenagers, your elderly parents, your friends, your co-workers, and even your enemies. Be sure to modify the level so that everyone who practices with you can keep up. Remember, those who breathe together, stay together.

Is BEAT + BREATH ™ refundable?

As BEAT + BREATH ™ is a digital product there are no refunds on purchases. We are committed to helping you learn how to breathe and want to give you as much support as we can in the process. Please send us your comments and questions, or attend a live class with your questions and concerns, so that we can help you get started on your breathwork journey.
